چکیده
Introduction. To date, chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) has not yet been extensively studied: the molecular factors and mechanisms involved in initiation of polypous transformations mucosa (NM) sustaining their recurrence probability are still to be determined. Simultaneously, it is necessary understand rearrangement NM tissues make clinical prognosis choose an adequate therapeutic or surgical strategy for CRSwNP treatment. The aim study was identify features how inflammatory markers localize distributed various morphological types. Materials methods. We studied chemical structure inferior turbinates. material obtained during management patients diagnosed CRSwNP. comparison group a deviated septum who underwent septorhi-noplasty had neither polyposis nor concomitant inflammatory/allergic pathology. removed surgeries used compare changes. Comparison of Expression of Cytokeratin 7 on Epithelium of Nasal Polyps and Mucosa of Chronic Rhinosinusitis
Background and Objective: Nasal polyp is the most common benign mass of the nasal cavity and it is originated from nasal cavity or sinuses. Cytokeratins (CK) are intermediate filament proteins that provide mechanical support in epithelial cells. The purpose of this study was to compare the expression of cytokeratin 7 in epithelium of nasal polyps and nasal mucosa in chronic rhinosinusitis. Mate...
متن کاملInflammatory Septal Nasal Polyp
Introduction: Nasal polyps are benign prolapsed mucosal lesions which commonly arise from the paranasal sinuses and lateral walls of the nose especially the contact areas of osteomeatal complex. Though nasal polyps arising from the nasal septum have been reported, those arising from its anterior part are extremely rare and present a diagnostic dilemma. Aetiology is multifactorial and is mainl...
متن کاملCutaneous reactivity pattern and nasal smear cytology in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps; is it associated with the course of the disease?
Background and Objectives: To determine the association of hyper-reactivity to environmental allergens and mucosal secretion cytology with the course of disease in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis and nasal polyps (CRSwNP). Methods: A cross sectional study was conducted at Tehran Clinic of Asthma and Allergy in 2016. Adult patients who earned the definite diagnosis of CRSwNP and were free o...
متن کاملChronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps in the elderly
BACKGROUND The recently reported prevalence of chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) among people >60 years old was 4.7%, with CRS emerging as the sixth most common chronic condition in the elderly. There is still a dearth of studies that focused on older patients, however, regarding the characteristics of CRS with nasal polyps (CRSwNP). OBJECTIVE The emerging role of CRSwNP endotyping to enable a tai...
متن کاملExpression of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor in Nasal Polyp and Chronic Rhinosinusitis
Background: Nasal inflammatory disorders such as chronic rhinosinusitis and nasal polyp are among the most prevalent complications with high socioeconomic costs. Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) plays a key role in angiogenesis and cell proliferation. In the present study the effect of VEGF on the development and prognosis of chronic rhinosinusitis and nasal p...
